Welcome to the New York State Disability Services Council
The New York State Disability Services Council (NYSDSC) is an independent, professional organization of individuals responsible for the provision of disability services for New York State students in higher education. The vision of NYSDSC is to foster professional expertise within disability services. We offer networking and development opportunities through bi-annual conferences for new and seasoned professionals.
The core values of the New York State Disability Services Council reside in our deep regard for diversity and inclusion. We believe in enhancing the communities that we serve through advocacy and professional development with specific focus on leadership, student empowerment, accommodation management, and assistive technology through state-wide collaborations and initiatives. As an official state affiliate of the Association of Higher Education and Disability, the NYSDSC proudly endorses the values and mission of AHEAD.
