DSS Salary Survey Results as of 11/11/2005

The DSS Salary Survey was developed by representatives from SUNY, CUNY, and Independent institutions in New York State. It was posted to this web site on August 12, 2005. Responses were solicited through the SUNY DSC listserv and through members of the regional consortia. As of November 11, 2005 there were responses from 39 institutions (of a total of 248 in New York State). The links below will take the reader to results from the survey.

Several hours of analysis and formatting of the data has been done on the information gathered from survey responses. However, in order to maximize response by providing structured answers that would allow for anonmity of the respondent, the level to which meaningful analysis that can be done is limited.

Basic Data Analysis (PDF) - Data on respondents by type of institution, salary (converted to 12 month equivalents), total enrollment, enrollment of students with disabilities, correllations of salary by enrollment, SWD enrollment and years in higher education disability services.

Salary and Office Information (PDF) - Spreadsheet of data acquired on salary, enrollments, appointments, duties of director, and staffing. This is provided separately from the position information below, which contains identifying information for some institutions.

Position Information (PDF) - Spreadsheet of Office/Unit Names, Working Titles, Formal Titles, Class/Grade.
